Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management must conduct a study of state agency response times to public records requests under the Freedom of Information Act

Report due to the Government Oversight Committee by January 15, 2027

Report must include summary of average state agency response times and information about complaints filed with the Freedom of Information Commission based on unreasonable response times

Report must include recommendations for legislation to address any findings from the study

Effective immediately upon passage
