Establishes a task force effective July 1, 2026 to study ways to encourage Connecticut nursing homes to become federally contracted veterans nursing homes and increase nursing home care availability for eligible veterans

Task force will consider financial incentives including reimbursement assistance supplements and tax credits, as well as methods to promote VA-contracted nursing homes to eligible veterans

Seven-member task force includes six legislative appointees (one each from House Speaker, Senate President Pro Tempore, and majority/minority leaders of both chambers) plus the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs or designee

Initial appointments due by August 1, 2026, with first meeting by September 1, 2026; co-chairs selected by House Speaker and Senate President Pro Tempore

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the Veterans' and Military Affairs Committee by January 1, 2027, after which it terminates
