Increases the weekly unemployment dependency allowance from $15 to $45 per dependent, effective July 1, 2028

Eligible dependents include a nonworking spouse living in the same household, children or stepchildren under 18, dependents under 21 in full-time attendance at secondary school, technical school, college, or state-accredited job training programs, and mentally or physically handicapped dependents

Limits dependency allowances to a maximum of five dependents and caps total allowances at 100% of the individual's unemployment benefit rate

Dependency allowances are paid in addition to regular unemployment benefits and are not counted as part of the total unemployment benefit rate

When both spouses receive unemployment benefits, neither can claim the other as a dependent, and only one spouse may claim allowances for children or stepchildren
