Motor vehicle accident reports must be made available to accident participants and witnesses within 30 days after the investigation is completed, in addition to the existing requirement to forward a copy to the Commissioner of Transportation within 5 days

Accidents requiring investigation include those involving death, injury, or property damage exceeding $1,000 to any individual

Peace officers must prepare a report within 5 days when a person experiences an emergency medical condition or becomes medically unstable while in direct audio/visual contact with, or in custody of, the officer

Upon request, peace officers must provide a copy of the medical emergency report to the affected person within 5 days of the report's completion
