Commissioner of Transportation must conduct a study on microtransit, defined as technology-enabled transportation using multipassenger vehicles for on-demand services with dynamically generated routing

Study must analyze designated service areas appropriate for microtransit and estimate utilization in those areas

Study must include a timeline for implementing a microtransit program and identify potential costs and funding sources

Report due to the Transportation and Appropriations committees by January 1, 2027

Effective date: October 1, 2026
