Establishes a working group convened by the Public Safety and Security Committee chairpersons to study statutory roles of law enforcement and public safety positions throughout Connecticut

Working group must identify positions performing law enforcement functions, their specific jurisdictions and responsibilities, and which positions require Police Officer Standards and Training Council certification

Membership includes legislative committee leaders, Commissioners of Emergency Services and Public Protection and Correction, and representatives from Court Support Services Division, POST Council, and Connecticut Police Chiefs Association

First meeting required within 60 days of passage; members will select two cochairpersons from among themselves

Report with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation due to the Public Safety and Security Committee by January 1, 2027, at which point the working group terminates
