Department of Economic and Community Development must develop a plan to establish an artificial intelligence small business program

Program goals include incentivizing small businesses to adopt AI for productivity improvements and quality enhancements to their products or services

Program also aims to establish a competitive small business environment for developing and deploying AI technologies

Department must submit a report on the plan, including any recommendations for legislative action, to the Commerce Committee by January 1, 2027

Defines artificial intelligence as a machine-based system that makes predictions, recommendations, or decisions influencing real or virtual environments
