Amends Section 31-48b to create an exception allowing employers to operate video surveillance in employee lounges if a self-service kiosk is present, provided the system does not record audio and only captures the kiosk area

Defines "self-service kiosk" as an interactive, stand-alone terminal allowing individuals to independently scan and purchase items for sale

Maintains existing prohibition on electronic surveillance in rest rooms, locker rooms, and lounges designed for employee health, comfort, or safeguarding possessions

Penalties for surveillance violations remain: $500 for first offense, $1,000 for second offense, and $1,000 plus 30 days imprisonment for third and subsequent offenses
