Express the General Assembly's support for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Statement of Support Program, which promotes cooperation between Reserve service members and their civilian employers.

Encourage all Delaware employers to execute an ESGR Statement of Support, pledging to honor the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act (USERRA) by not denying employment or limiting job opportunities due to military service, and granting leaves of absence for military duty.

Request the Delaware Department of Labor place a link on its webpage to ESGR's online statement of support form to assist employers in signing the pledge.

Recognize that approximately 1.1 million men and women serve in National Guard and Reserve units, with nearly 50% mobilized for overseas operations as of September 30, 2009, and that Governor Markell executed an ESGR Statement of Support on December 17, 2009.
