House Concurrent Resolution No. 4 of the 146th General Assembly recognizes the Delaware Federation of Republican Women's urging for legislation requiring government-issued photo identification at polling places before voting.

Sponsors include Rep. Hudson and Sen. Cloutier, with additional sponsors Reps. Lavelle, Hocker, Peterman, Ramone, D. Short and Sens. Booth, Bonini, Sorenson.

Resolution acknowledges that photo identification is required for common transactions like renting videos, cashing checks, and airport security, yet most states do not require it for voting.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent via electronic mail to the Delaware State Election Commissioner, county Election Commissioners, leaders of Delaware's two majority political parties, General Assembly leadership, and the Adjutant General.
