Honors approximately 100 young women from Delaware high schools who participated in the 2010 Girls' State session held at Legislative Hall in Dover during the week of June 21, 2010.

Recognizes that participants received hands-on training in the legislative process and state government, including electing their own Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Treasurer, State Auditor, State Insurance Commissioner, and General Assembly members.

Commends the participants for learning about elections, legislative caucus and committee systems, majority and minority positions, and other aspects of representative democracy.

Thanks the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion for sponsoring this educational program to ensure youth understand and appreciate the American system of government.

Extends congratulations and best wishes to the delegates, expressing hope that some may one day serve as elected representatives in the state legislature.
