House Resolution 10 Summary

• House of Representatives should make redistricting process information available to the public to aid understanding of how representative districts are drawn.

• Citizens of Delaware must have opportunity to provide public comment and submit redistricting plans during the redistricting process.

• House of Representatives should conduct a public hearing on final proposed redistricting plan before voting.

• Representative districts should be contiguous, nearly equal in population, bounded by major roads or natural boundaries, and not created to favor any person or political party.

• Redistricting process must comply with the Voting Rights Act and be completed by June 30, 2011.
