Recognizes the week of June 1-7, 2010 as National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Awareness Week in Delaware.

Urges all Delaware citizens to seek training in CPR and AED device operation at their earliest opportunity.

Calls on government agencies, public and private schools, and private companies to install AED devices at their facilities and maintain them in working order.

Notes that approximately 295,000 emergency medical services-treated out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur annually nationwide with a 92 percent fatality rate before hospital discharge.

Directs copies of the resolution to be sent to Delaware chapters of the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Matthew Krug Foundation, Parent Heart Watch, Youth Heart Watch at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and the Delaware Department of Education.
