Honors the Honorable William Burton Chandler III upon his retirement from the office of Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery on June 17, 2011.

Recognizes Chancellor Chandler's distinguished judicial career beginning with his appointment as Resident Judge of the Superior Court for Sussex County in 1985, Vice Chancellor in 1989, and Chancellor in 1997.

Acknowledges his contributions to Delaware's reputation for expertise in corporation and business law and his service as a respected jurist throughout the United States.

Commends his continued involvement in his native Sussex County and Dagsboro community while serving in high judicial offices and traveling as a spokesman for the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Extends best wishes to Chancellor Chandler and his family for a bright future and directs presentation of this resolution to him during his visit to the Senate Chamber on June 2, 2011.
