Recognizes the Division for the Visually Impaired and its progress in providing vocational rehabilitation services to blind and visually impaired individuals seeking state employment.

Calls upon members of the visually impaired community desiring employment with state government to engage actively in the vocational rehabilitation process through the Division for the Visually Impaired.

Urges all state departments and divisions to include specific plans and strategies in their affirmative action plans for recruitment, hiring, and promotion of qualified blind and visually impaired individuals.

Directs state agencies to provide employment, job shadowing, internship, and other work opportunities to people with visual impairments, with particular emphasis on positions of increasing responsibility in management.
