Designates April 13, 2011, as "Early Child Care and Education Professionals Appreciation Day" in Delaware.

Recognizes that quality early child care and education leads to higher school achievement, lower dropout rates, decreased special education referrals, and cost savings to states and school districts.

Acknowledges that early childhood educators and child care professionals work long hours at comparatively low pay rates while enabling parents to work and attend school.

Urges Delaware citizens to recognize the work and contributions of early childhood educators and child care professionals to improving quality of life for families in the state.
