Authorizes the Department of Education to establish regulations defining eligibility for supportive instruction for students in school districts and charter schools.

Defines "supportive instruction" as an alternative educational program provided in a home, hospital, or other setting for students temporarily unable to attend school full-time due to sudden illness, injury, accident, episodic flare-up of chronic conditions, or other bases authorized by regulation.

Requires regulations to identify which licensed professionals are authorized to certify student eligibility for supportive instruction.

Requires that certifications from advanced practice nurses employed by or having a collaborative agreement with a licensed physician be accepted on the same basis as physician certifications.
