Amends Delaware Code Title 29 to extend dependent health coverage for full-time students who are covered under a parent's health insurance as of May 1, 2011, until age 26, subject to federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act limitations.

Allows approximately 120 students graduating in May 2011 to remain on their parent's health plan during June 2011, preventing a gap before federal coverage requirements take effect on July 1, 2011.

Current Delaware law provides dependent coverage for full-time students until age 24, while federal law requires coverage until age 26 beginning July 1, 2011; this bill bridges the gap for May 2011 graduates.

Estimated cost of approximately $46,000 for one month of coverage will be paid by the Health Fund rather than the General Fund, with approval from the State Employee Benefits Committee.

Effective date: May 1, 2011.
