Prohibits possession, sale, offer for sale, trade, or distribution of shark fins in Delaware, effective January 1, 2014

Exempts commercial fishermen licensed by the Department to take or land sharks, who may possess or distribute (but not sell within Delaware) shark fins from legally caught sharks

Exempts recreational fishermen licensed by the Department, who may possess shark fins from personally caught sharks for personal use

Permits the Department to issue scientific permits for possession of shark fins for bona fide scientific research purposes

Classifies violations as class B environmental misdemeanor offenses; seized shark fins must be destroyed rather than sold
