Commends the Food Bank of Delaware for its programming serving more than a quarter of Delawareans and contributions to ending hunger and poverty in the state.

Food Bank distributed 6.2 million pounds of food through 508 partner organizations, 9,753 meal boxes via Mobile Pantry, and 84,064 backpacks to at-risk youth in the last year.

Food Bank produced 346,629 meals for After-School Nutrition Program and 303,356 meals for Summer Food Service Program for children at risk of hunger.

Food Bank employed 56 full-time and part-time staff at Newark and Milford facilities with an annual budget exceeding $2 million, and received 50,633 volunteer hours equivalent to 24 full-time employees.

Food Bank graduated over 300 students through 33 Culinary School classes since 2001 and began construction of an expanded Milford facility with Culinary School and Training Kitchen for Kent and Sussex counties.
