Honors young women from Delaware public and private high schools who participated in the 2013 Delaware Girls State session held June 19-25, 2013 at Legislative Hall in Dover.

Recognizes participants' hands-on training in the legislative process and state government, including election of a Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Treasurer, Auditor, Insurance Commissioner, and General Assembly members.

Commends the 69 named delegates for learning about bill passage procedures, election conduct, legislative committee systems, and representative democracy processes.

Extends congratulations to participants and best wishes for their future endeavors, with hope some may serve as elected representatives.

Thanks the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Delaware for sponsoring the educational program and directs copies of the resolution be distributed to all delegates and sponsors.
