Recognizes July 4th, 2014 as the 75th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's retirement from baseball following his ALS diagnosis in 1939.

Highlights awareness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

Notes that approximately 100 individuals in Delaware are affected by ALS, which typically leads to total paralysis and death within two to five years of diagnosis.

Directs presentation of a copy of the resolution to Ms. Kayla Wilson, a Delaware resident instrumental in promoting ALS awareness in the state.

Honors Lou Gehrig's baseball career, including his 2,130 consecutive games played (a record until 1995) and .340 lifetime batting average.
