Amends Delaware Code § 1257 to revise the definition of "resisting arrest with force or violence" (Class G felony) by clarifying that the offense includes using force or violence against a peace officer during arrest or detention.

Modifies subsection (a)(3) to specify that injury to a peace officer must occur "while a peace officer is effecting an arrest or detention" rather than requiring the injury to result from struggling with the officer.

Updates subsection (b) to add "or detention of the person" when defining the Class A misdemeanor offense of resisting arrest, ensuring detention scenarios are explicitly covered.

Adds a severability clause providing that if any provision is found invalid, other provisions remain enforceable.

Becomes effective immediately upon enactment.
