Adds false reporting of a lost or stolen firearm as a class A misdemeanor under § 1245 of Title 11, applicable when a person knowingly reports to law enforcement that a firearm has been lost or stolen when this report is false.

Creates a class F felony penalty under § 1245A for providing a false statement to law enforcement concerning the loss or theft of a firearm, regardless of whether the underlying investigation involves a felony or misdemeanor.

Maintains existing penalties for false reporting including fines of not less than $500 (or $1,000 for certain violations) and a minimum of 100 hours of community service, plus reimbursement of governmental investigation and response costs.

Clarifies that prior violations of false reporting offenses elevate the charge to a class G felony, with the new firearm provisions subject to the enhanced class F felony penalty for false statements.
