Encourages all women to practice good breast health and strongly urges women over 40 years of age to receive mammography screenings.

References that one in eight women in the United States will have breast cancer in their lifetime, with approximately 770 Delaware women diagnosed annually in 2013.

Notes that 98 percent of women survive a minimum of five years with early detection and treatment of breast cancer, and mammograms remain the most-effective detection method for early-stage disease.

Acknowledges the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Inc. as the only statewide organization solely dedicated to addressing breast health issues and supporting early detection efforts.
