Creates a Task Force to study whether Delaware public schools should start each school year after Labor Day

Task Force membership includes 2 state senators, 2 state representatives, the Secretary of Education, and Governor-appointed members representing school districts, charter schools, teachers' associations, tourism businesses, and school administrators

Study areas include the education system (academic calendar, planning, administration, facilities), economic impacts, and summer tourism effects

Delaware tourism employs 39,300 people (3rd largest private employer) and generated $437 million in state and local taxes from 7.2 million visitors in 2011

Task Force required to submit findings and recommendations to the General Assembly and Governor by January 14, 2014
