Recognizes the 35th anniversary of the Jobs for Delaware Graduates (JDG) program, which began in 1979 under Governor Pierre duPont as a school-to-work dropout prevention program for high school seniors.

JDG expanded in 1992 to serve 9th through 12th graders and later extended services to middle school students, foster youth through DSCYF, and students at James H. Groves High School.

The program served over 3,000 students during the 2013-2014 school year and has served more than 48,000 students across its 35 years of operation.

The Delaware program's success led to the creation of Jobs for America's Graduates, which has replicated the JDG model in 32 other states and the Virgin Islands.
