Mandate classroom doors that can be locked from both sides with a key in all new school buildings and major renovations.

Require installation of an intruder alert system compatible with the fire alarm system and activatable from the office in new school construction or major renovations.

Direct the Department of Safety and Homeland Security to review all new public school construction plans for compliance with school security requirements and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) practices.
