Recognizes June 15, 2016, as "Delaware Elder Abuse Awareness Day" in the State of Delaware.

Notes that 4-6% of elderly people are believed to be abused and that elder abuse and neglect are largely unrecognized public health and human rights crises.

Acknowledges Delaware's efforts to address elder abuse through the Department of Health and Social Services, the Nursing Home Residents Quality Assurance Commission, and the Department of Justice.

Aligns with the National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, which recognize June 15th annually as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

Urges all Delawareans to learn more about protecting and nurturing elderly citizens.
