Establishes a Task Force to review financial accounting and management procedures of Delaware volunteer fire companies following recent embezzlement cases, including one involving nearly $200,000.

Task Force membership includes 2 state senators (with bipartisan representation), 2 state representatives (with bipartisan representation), 2 State Fire Prevention Commission members, 2 volunteer fire company members, 2 public members with accounting experience preference, the State Auditor, a Controller General representative, and county government representatives.

Co-chairs from the Senate and House are responsible for scheduling meetings, distributing materials, and ensuring timely submission of the final report to legislative leaders and the Governor.

Office of the Auditor of Accounts provides staff support and materials for the Task Force.

Task Force must submit a comprehensive report with recommended reforms to promote fiscal management and reduce embezzlement risk by January 31, 2017.
