Proclaims the week of July 11-15, 2016 as Delaware Local Produce Week in Delaware

Highlights over 80 on-site farmstands and approximately two dozen farmers' markets operating throughout the state

Notes 2015 farmers' market sales reached over $3 million, a 15 percent increase from the previous year, with 45 percent of sales being value-added agricultural products

Requests collaboration between the General Assembly, Delaware Department of Agriculture, and the Office of Governor Jack Markell to stage activities promoting local produce ventures during the designated week

Recognizes benefits of local produce consumption including supporting the state economy, improving nutrition, reducing transportation costs, and strengthening farmer-community relationships
