Designates April 2016 as Autism Awareness Month in Delaware

Notes that autism spectrum disorder affects more than 3 million Americans with prevalence increasing from 1 in 2,500 births in 1995 to 1 in 68 today

Recognizes autism as a neurological disorder affecting learning, development, interactive behaviors, and verbal and non-verbal communication across all demographic groups

Encourages Delaware citizens and the state to raise public awareness of autism spectrum disorder and promote knowledge of available programs and services for affected individuals and families
