Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 78

• Recognizes May 2016 as "Healthy Vision Month" in Delaware
• Notes that approximately 61 million adults in the U.S. are at high risk for vision loss and 38 million suffer from eye diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and cataracts
• Indicates Delaware has 272,145 cases of vision problems in residents over age 40, with 12,350 experiencing vision impairment or blindness
• Encourages Delaware citizens to get regular dilated eye exams, maintain healthy lifestyles, use protective eyewear, and wear sunglasses to prevent vision loss and eye disease
• Urges all Delaware citizens to participate in observance of Healthy Vision Month
