Authorizes teacher candidates hired after July 1 of a school year through alternative routes for teacher licensure and certification programs to fulfill the 120-hour seminar/practicum requirement prior to the start of the following school year.

Removes the exemption that previously allowed teachers entering through Teach For America or teacher residency programs to satisfy the 120-hour requirement through their own preservice training.

Establishes uniform timing requirements for all alternative route teacher candidates to complete mandatory seminar/practicum training before assuming full classroom responsibility.
