Recognizes April 2017 as "National Donate Life Month" in Delaware to encourage organ, eye, and tissue donation

Notes that more than 33,000 transplants were performed in the United States in 2016, with over 118,000 people nationwide awaiting organ transplants and approximately 500 Delawareans on the waiting list

Recognizes that one organ, eye, and tissue donor can save up to 8 lives and help up to 75 people, with 95% of the population supporting organ donation

Acknowledges that 51.5% of Delaware license and ID card holders have registered as organ donors through the Division of Motor Vehicles

Encourages all Delawareans to become designated organ, eye, and tissue donors and acknowledges the generosity of donors and their families
