Recognizes that human trafficking victims are disproportionately women and girls, and that trafficking generates billions in annual profits as the second most profitable transnational crime after drug trafficking.

Emphasizes that public awareness is essential to educate people about signs and consequences of human trafficking and to combat perpetrators of these crimes.
