Requires physicians to offer patients ultrasound imaging and auscultation of fetal heart tone services before terminating a pregnancy, except in medical emergencies.

Ultrasound must include active imaging showing fetal dimensions and internal/external anatomy, and auscultation services allowing the patient to hear the fetal heartbeat; patient may choose not to view or listen.

Physician must obtain patient's signature on a form confirming the ultrasound and auscultation services were offered before performing the abortion.

Intentional failure to comply is a Class A misdemeanor; violation also permits civil malpractice actions, professional disciplinary action, and wrongful death claims under Title 10 § 3724.

Civil plaintiffs may proceed anonymously, request case closure for privacy protection, and recover reasonable attorney's fees if successful; defendants may recover attorney's fees if suit is found frivolous and brought in bad faith.
