Filing a Statement of Mortgagee Address Change serves as public notice to all interested parties of the mortgagee's new address for receiving legal notices regarding the mortgage and property.

Parties sending notices to mortgagees are fully protected by using the address in the original mortgage or last recorded assignment until a Statement of Mortgagee Address Change is filed.

Provides a standardized form for the Statement of Mortgagee Address Change that requires mortgagor names, mortgagee names, property address, recording information, notarization, and the new notice address.

Requires recorders of deeds to create and maintain separate indexes for Statements of Mortgagee Change of Address that reference the mortgagor, mortgagee, mortgage recording information, and the mortgagee's new notice address.
