Designates March 19-25, 2017 as Delaware Ag Week to celebrate the state's agricultural industry and heritage

Agriculture is Delaware's number one industry, contributing over $1.3 billion annually to the state's economy and providing 30,000 jobs across the farm and food chain

Delaware has more than 2,500 farms, with 41% of the state's land used for agriculture

The Delaware farmland preservation program has permanently preserved more than 120,000 acres since its creation 20 years prior (as of May 2016)

Urges all Delawareans to learn about modern agriculture and pay tribute to farmers, the agricultural community, and educators supporting the industry
