Establishes the "Drinking Water Protection Act" directing the Department of Health and Human Services, in consultation with the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, to set state-level maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) for drinking water contaminants.

Mandates MCLs for PFOA and PFOS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances), man-made chemicals used in various industries that have been found in drinking water and linked to chronic health risks.

Allows the Department to establish MCLs for other PFAS based on results from a state-wide survey, with levels not exceeding federal EPA standards.

Requires the Department to initiate regulatory development within 60 days of the Act's effective date and conduct public hearings on proposed regulations within 6 months.

Mandates a state-wide survey by January 1, 2022 to identify public water supplies with known or suspected PFAS contamination and establish a remediation plan, with results reported to the Governor and General Assembly by September 1, 2022.
