Designates January 9, 2019 as "Delaware Wildland Firefighter Day" to recognize wildland firefighters' contributions and sacrifices.

Acknowledges the Delaware Forest Service's role since 1927 as the lead agency for wildfire suppression, providing training, equipment, and financial assistance to volunteer organizations.

Recognizes that hundreds of Delaware wildland firefighters have completed certifications compliant with National Wildfire Coordinating Group standards since 1996 and have deployed to fight fires across multiple states including Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Georgia, Virginia, and Minnesota.

Highlights 2018 deployments including two Type 2-IA crews to Colorado and Idaho, engine crews to California for the Ferguson Fire (97,000 acres in Yosemite) and Front Fire in Sequoia National Forest, and support specialists deployed to coordination centers in Wisconsin, Wyoming, Nevada, and Utah.

Calls for Delawareans to appreciate and recognize the selfless and courageous efforts of Delaware's wildland firefighters representing the state on national fire incidents.
