Designates April 11, 2019 as "Delta Day at the Delaware Capital" to recognize Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. was founded January 13, 1913 at Howard University and has over 290,000 predominantly Black college-educated women members globally across more than 100 chapters

Delaware has six chapters (Epsilon Alpha at DSU, Wilmington Alumnae, Dover Alumnae, Sussex County Alumnae, Mu Pi at UD, and Middletown Alumnae) representing more than 600 members

The sorority promotes academic excellence, provides scholarships, supports underserved communities, and focuses on five programmatic areas: Economic Development, International Awareness, Physical and Mental Health, Educational Development, and Social Justice

Delaware chapters participate in community programs including the Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Gems Institute for at-risk female students, Jabberwock Scholarship Program, Habitat for Humanity, and Health and Healing Summit
