Designates May 9, 2019 as "AKA Day at the Capitol" in Delaware to recognize Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Acknowledges Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's 111-year history since its founding on January 15, 1908 at Howard University as the first Greek-lettered organization established by and for African American college-educated women.

Recognizes the sorority's 300,000 global members and over one million hours of community service, particularly in African-American neighborhoods addressing economic security, environmental sustainability, poverty, and social justice.

Highlights Delaware chapters' local contributions including Debutante programs, heart health initiatives, educational equity advocacy, school board candidate forums, and clothing drives for students in Haiti.

Notes this marks the sixteenth consecutive year Delaware's graduate chapters have provided advocacy guidance to the General Assembly.
