Removes the requirement that applicants for a marriage license must state their race on the application form

Amends § 122 of Title 13 of the Delaware Code by striking the word "race" from the list of required information on marriage license applications

Delaware is currently one of a small number of states that requires race information on marriage license applications

Aligns with a 2019 U.S. District Court ruling in Virginia that found requiring race on marriage license applications violates the U.S. Constitution

Supported by Delaware Clerks of the Peace and the Office of Vital Statistics; the National Center for Health Statistics has not required detailed marriage data from states since 1996
