Expands the definition of Assault in the Second Degree (a Class D felony) to include intentional physical injury to hospital security officers and any person providing health care treatment or employed by a health care provider while performing work-related duties.

Adds code enforcement constables and code enforcement officers to the list of protected professionals in assault statutes, making it a felony to intentionally injure them while acting in lawful performance of duty.

Removes the previous limitation that only specified medical professionals (licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, and licensed medical doctors) are protected, broadening coverage to all healthcare workers and treatment providers.

Maintains existing protections for law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, correctional officers, sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and public transit operators as victims of assault in the second degree.
