Department of Corrections must make reasonable accommodations for midwifery and doula services for pregnant women and those who gave birth within the last 6 weeks in Level IV or V facilities.

Midwives and doulas must be granted facility access, allowed to attend labor and childbirth when feasible, and given access to the woman's health information with her authorization.

Department must provide written notice to all pregnant and postpartum women in Level IV or V facilities about available midwifery and doula services.

Department shall provide midwifery or doula services subject to availability of designated funds.

Doula services include labor support, prenatal/postpartum education, breastfeeding assistance, parenting education, and support if a woman is separated from her child; midwifery services include care during prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum stages, and newborn care up to two weeks of age.
