Recognizes April 11-17, 2021 as "Black Maternal Health Awareness Week" in Delaware.

Addresses documented disparities where Black women experience pregnancy-related complications twice as often and die from pregnancy-related complications four times as often as White women.

Notes Delaware's Black infant mortality rate is 12.5 deaths per 1,000 live births, 2.3 times higher than the White rate of 5.1 deaths per 1,000 live births, and Delaware ranks 14th nationally for highest infant mortality prevalence.

Acknowledges Delaware's ongoing efforts through the Delaware Healthy Mother and Infant Consortium, Delaware Perinatal Quality Collaborative, and the OB Hemorrhage Initiative to reduce maternal and infant mortality and disparities.

Calls for community members and healthcare professionals to participate in activities promoting awareness of Black maternal health, safety, and mortality during this week and annually.
