Designates July 2022 as Uterine Fibroids Awareness Month to increase public awareness and education about the condition.

Recognizes that uterine fibroids affect an estimated 30% of women by age 35 and 80% by age 50, making it the most prevalent medical condition affecting women.

Acknowledges that Black women experience uterine fibroids at 3 times the rate and Hispanic women at 2 times the rate compared to Caucasian women.

Notes that over 200,000 hysterectomies are performed annually to treat fibroids at an estimated cost exceeding $2 billion, with total economic burden ranging from $5.9 billion to $34.4 billion annually.

Encourages the Governor to issue a proclamation promoting awareness and educational activities and calls for greater research, treatment, and care options for uterine fibroids.
