Establishes the Legislative Building Committee to study and make recommendations addressing technology, security, and space needs of Legislative Hall.

Committee composed of 9 voting members: 3 House members (2 majority, 1 minority), 3 Senate members (2 majority, 1 minority), 3 citizen appointees (1 each from Governor, Speaker, and Senate President Pro Tempore), plus ex-officio members including Capitol Police Chief and Controller General.

Director of the Division of Research serves as Committee Secretary and organizes the committee to select a Chair and other officers.

Committee must study physical, technological, and security needs of the General Assembly and deliver a report with recommendations to the General Assembly and Governor by October 1, 2022.

Committee authorized to consult with architects, engineers, and other professionals as needed, with the Office of Management and Budget directed to provide adequate funding for the assessment.
