• Requires sellers offering contracts with automatic renewal provisions to disclose terms clearly and conspicuously at the time of contract entry.

• Mandates sellers notify consumers 30-60 days before automatic renewal, including renewal date, cancellation deadline, cancellation procedures, and how to access the full automatic renewal provision.

• Requires sellers to provide a cost-effective, timely, and easy-to-use cancellation mechanism; consumers who sign up online must be able to cancel online.

• Allows consumers to void automatically renewed contracts by using any method that would have cancelled the contract before renewal, and limits seller retention of prepaid fees to a prorated amount, with remaining fees refunded within 30 days.

• Establishes a 30-day cure period allowing sellers to remedy violations of automatic renewal requirements before consumers can file lawsuits, and designates violations as unlawful practices under Delaware consumer protection law; effective January 1, 2022.
